What Are Steel Rebar?
Reinforcing steel, commonly known as rebar, is a critical steel product used to strengthen concrete structures
by counteracting tension forces.
Made primarily from carbon steel or alloy steel, it features a ribbed surface for enhanced bonding with concrete,
preventing slippage between the two materials.
Classified by grade (e.g., HRB400, ASTM A615 Grade 60) and shape (deformed, plain), rebar is indispensable
in construction projects like high-rises, bridges, roads, and industrial buildings. It is produced via hot rolling,
with customization available for diameter (6mm–50mm) and length to meet project requirements.
As a core metal material in infrastructure, it adheres to international standards such as GB, ASTM, and BS,
ensuring structural safety and durability across global construction applications.
